Building processes

Processes are a set of steps or tasks that organizations can use to automate a sequence of activities that are unique to their workflows and business practices. For example, Processes can range from triggering a notification to a targeted recipient in particular conditions to a more complex series of steps that guide a hiring manager through creating a work requisition that includes approvals, data mapping, and custom notifications.

Beeline Professional administrators can use Processes and Smart Forms to define approval workflows that support the business requirements of a client.

As an administrator, you can copy Processes from the implementation tenant by exporting each process individually and importing it into the tenant that you want to configure.

Before you begin

  • You must have Beeline Professional administrator access to the implementation tenant site and the site you’re setting up.

  • Identify the list of the processes that you want to configure for your new tenant.

Steps

To configure processes, complete these steps from any supported browser.

  1. Log in to the Professional implementation tenant.

  2. From the left navigation, go to Settings  Processes.

  3. Select the process that you want to export and from the right, select the Actions menu and select Export.

  4. The Export Process Definition message displays to confirm that you want to proceed. Select Export. After the process is exported, you can find it in the downloads folder of your device.

  5. In a separate window, log in to the Professional tenant you’re setting up.

  10. To activate the process, select Save and Deploy from the lower right.
