Setting the global start date
Ensuring that program spend is accurately tracked helps an organization effectively manage costs and project. Part of the program spend includes timesheets submitted by workers.
As a Beeline Professional administrator, you can define a Global Start Date that limits the period when workers can submit timesheets and helps ensure that spend is correctly billed to your organization.
For example, assume the Go-Live date for your tenant site is Friday, March 15, 2024, but you know workers won’t actively start working until the following Monday. Setting the global start date as March 18, 2024, prevents workers from submitting timesheets with hours worked prior to March 18, 2024.
The Global Start Date in Beeline Professional controls the ability to generate timesheets starting with a particular date in the tenant site. Workers can submit timesheets only after the Global Start Date is configured in the tenant starting with the configured date.
If you’re configuring a production tenant site, set the Global Start Date to the go live date. Do not change this date after the tenant site goes live.
If you’re configuring an implementation or sandbox tenant, you can choose any date to start testing timesheets.
As an administrator, you set the Global Start Date to support the business requirements of a particular client. You can also edit the Global Start Date to change it.
