Importing custom fields

Beeline Professional supports Custom Fields that organizations can use to capture data unique to their workflows and business practices. Custom Fields are client defined fields that Beeline Professional administrators can use to configure Smart Forms and workflows that support the business requirements of an individual client.

For example, a client might want to capture additional information when a hiring manager creates a work request or ask a supplier to confirm when a worker has been onboarded. As an administrator, you can set up custom fields to capture that data in Professional.

Use the implementation tenant as a configuration baseline to configure a production tenant site.

Before you begin

  • You must have Beeline Professional administrator access to the implementation site and the site you’re setting up.

Steps

To import custom fields from the implementation tenant, complete these steps from any supported browser.

  1. Log in to the Professional implementation tenant.

  2. From the left navigation, go to Settings  Tenant Configuration.

  3. On the Exports tab, select Custom Fields from the Export list, and then select Export Configuration.

  4. An exports.yml file is saved to the downloads folder on your device.

  5. In a separate window, log in to the Professional tenant site you’re setting up.

  6. Go to Settings  Tenant Configuration.

  7. Select the Imports tab, select Import Configuration, and then select the exports.yml file you downloaded from the implementation tenant. Select Upload Configuration.

  8. Optional: To view the imported custom fields, go to Settings  Objects & Fields  Custom Field Definitions.
