Introduction to supplier groups
After hiring managers create job postings, program office users can distribute the job postings to individual suppliers or Supplier Groups.
To help automate the supplier distribution process and accelerate candidate submissions, Beeline Professional administrators can create customized supplier groups and distribution rules. Suppliers can be categorized into supplier groups based on these criteria:
-
Job Family Group
-
Location
-
Worker Classification
Supplier Groups establish which suppliers should be invited to fill a position (job posting) and distribution rules determine when the invitation should be sent. Distribution rules are defined by configuring one or more tiers per group. Each tier can include distinct suppliers and distinct distribution rules. Beeline Professional administrators can create multiple tiers and offset when an invitation to the job posting is sent. For more information, see Configuring supplier groups.
An invitation to fill a position can be sent immediately or later, or both. For example, Beeline Professional administrators can configure multiple supplier tiers and set up distinct distribution rules for each tier. A job posting can be sent immediately to a list of preferred suppliers defined in tier one. The same job posting can also be sent 24 hours later to another list of suppliers defined in tier two.
