Building Business Sites

Business Sites are specific places or structures occupied by a company and used to conduct business. In Beeline Professional, a Business Site defines the location of the office that a worker is associated with.

The details associated with a site can be used to filter worker populations by regions. Professional supports integrated geocoding, so worker locations can be displayed in geographical dashboards.

Business sites can also be used to restrict role assignments to a specific location.

As a Beeline Professional administrator, you build business sites to support the requirements of a particular client.

Before you begin

  • You must have administrator access to the tenant site you’re setting up.

Steps

To configure the business sites, complete these steps from any supported browser.

  1. Log in to the Professional site you’re setting up.

  2. From the left navigation, go to Home and select Import Data.

  3. Create a business site template that you can use with the Import Data tool.

    1. In the Data object field, select Business Site.

    2. To download a template, select Import Templates  Select a template, select the business site default template and select Download.

    3. Open the template file in Microsoft Excel ©. These columns are required for the template:

      • Business Site Reference Id

      • Business Site Name

      • Address Line 1

      • Address Municipality

      • Address Post Code

      • Address Country Code (ISO-2)

    4. To populate the template, add each business site as a separate entry, for example, one row for each business site that you want to add.

    5. Save the populated template with a different file name.

  4. Go to the Import Data form and in the Note field, enter a description of your import to help you find it faster in the import monitoring logs.

  5. Select Continue and upload the business site template.

  6. Follow the instructions in the Bulk add BUSINESS_SITES page to confirm the column headers row and mapping of the fields.

  7. Optional: To review any potential errors, turn on the Only show rows with problems toggle in the review section. If errors exist, you can hover over each error to view advice on resolving it. After you resolve the errors, select Continue.

After you submit the template, a message confirms you’ve submitted it successfully. The message doesn’t mean the data was successfully loaded in Professional. Select Settings  Monitoring  Import Logs to determine whether your import was processed successfully.

For more information, see Checking the status of an import process. If the import process fails, make corrections to the template and try again.
