Adding external approvers

If an expense or timesheet requires approval from someone who doesn’t have access to Beeline Professional, you can add them as an external approver. External approvers don’t sign in to Professional. Instead, they receive an email with a secure link to a page where they can review and approve tasks.

Before you begin

  • You must have administrator access to Professional.

Steps

  1. In the left navigation pane, select Settings  User Management.

  2. Select the Users tab.

  3. Select the Create User button (+).

  4. Enter the user information, and then set User Type to External Approver.

  5. Select Create User.

Result

The system assigns the new user the EXTERNAL_APPROVER role. This role enables permissions configuration and ensures users can be filtered in relevant views and queries.
