Reordering custom fields in engagements
Custom fields are client-defined fields that capture information beyond the standard system fields. You can add these fields to smart forms, which are advanced electronic forms that improve data collection. After adding custom fields, you can group, contextualize, and reorder them for better usability.
To reorder custom fields in an engagement, follow these steps:

Go to
, and open the Engagements section. -
Select Add Section to create a new Smart Form section.

Rename the new section in the Form Name field, if needed.

Select Add New Element to add a custom field.

From the Select an Element Type list, select engagementCustomField.

From the Select Custom Field Definition list, select the required custom field.

Repeat for all required custom fields.

Optional: Create multiple Smart Form sections to organize fields separately.

Drag and drop fields into the desired order.

Save your changes.

Hide the default Custom Data section:

Go to

Disable show-ungrouped-custom-fields.
This hides the default Custom Data section and prevents duplicate field displays.
